The Phoenix's Feather is one such fragment, shaped by some long-forgotten artificer into a wearable piece of gear. Those who don it report a faint warmth at the base of the skull and a persistent smell of woodsmoke that lingers for hours after removal. In the taverns of the Shattered Coast, mercenary-captains speak of it as both a blessing and a curse: the Fire it channels is immense, but the wearer's own resistance to the element does not improve, leaving them vulnerable to the very force they wield.
